Our Impact: Transforming lives & communities
Empowering Christian-led initiatives to make a difference where it matters most
At Benefact Trust, we support life-changing projects led by Christian organisations helping people of all faiths and none. Since 1972, we’ve awarded more than £330 million in grants to tackle some of society’s biggest challenges, including poverty, homelessness, mental health, heritage conservation and environmental sustainability. In 2025 alone, Community Impact Grants are expected to benefit approximately 1.5 million people.

Applicant Insight Report 2025
We asked. You answered. And we listened.
In 2025, we commissioned independent research to better understand the experiences of the Christian places of worship, dioceses and charities we support and those we haven't yet been able to help.
Nearly 500 applicants shared their stories. They told us about the relentless pressure of rising costs and growing community need. About buildings that must be fixed before any community work can happen. About the difficulty of funding the everyday costs that keep an organisation running. They also shared how valuable it is to have the support of a funder who genuinely believes in their mission.
Their voices have shaped how we're evolving our grant programmes, so that our funding works harder for the people and communities that need it most.
We're grateful to everyone who took part.
